1. Nepal’s PM Sher Bahadur Deuba made his maiden visit to India as prime minister. 

2. Karnataka’s Department of Tourism has announced Dasara Special Tour Packages .
The department has planned to launch the ‘Dasara Special Tour Package’ in the Golden Chariot Luxury Train, to promote the state festival.
The Golden Chariot is South India’s first and only luxury tourist train run by Karnataka State Tourist Department Corporation (KSTDC).

3. India and Germany has signed an agreement on technical cooperation under the Indo-German Energy Programme – Green Energy Corridors (IGEN-GEC)

12. Kerala Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan launched the host city logo for Kochi, one of the venues of FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017. The logo represents and reflects Kochi's identity and will be a valuable tool in linking the local community in a global World Cup.
  • The Official Mascot of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 is a clouded leopard called Kheleo.
  • The final will be held at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on 28 October 2017.

13.  India's two-time Olympic footballer and East Bengal legend Ahmed Khan passed away at the age of 90.

14. The UN global nuclear watchdog, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has opened world’s first low Enriched Uranium (LEU) Bank in Oskemen in Kazakhstan
The bank is owned and managed by IAEA. It will be the first of its kind LEU bank not to be under control of any individual country
The IAEA has its headquarters in Vienna, Austria.

15.  The Geographical Indications Registry (GIR) has granted geographical indication (GI) status to Gobindobhog rice, a speciality from Burdwan district of West Bengal

27. The Cyberspace Administration of China will block people from posting anonymously on internet from October. Internet and tech companies will have to verify the real identities of all users before they can post anything online, the administration said.
