1. Swiss president Doris Leuthard will begin her three day visit to India on August 30 2017. She will be received gladly by India’s president Ram nath govind and PM Narendra Modi.
2. Nepal India Joint Military Exercise Surya Kiran has launched and it is to be held from September 3 to 16. This is the 12th edition of the exercise.

3. The first project funded by The New Development Bank, set up by India and other members of the BRICS grouping of emerging economies, has started operation in Shanghai. 4. Global brokerage firm UBS has lowered India’s GDP growth forecast to 6.6 per cent from 7.2 per cent.

These contraceptives have been launched in 10 states
The ‘Antara’ injectable is effective for three months and the ‘Chayya’ pill is effective for one week.
